Crystal Palace Park Wandering Tour with Living London

Starting at Crystal Palace Museum we will set off on a circular walk around the park stopping off at various sites along the way including the fishing lake, a secret garden, the dinosaurs and Crystal Palace Park Farm. About Living London wanderings:

'For as long as I remember, I've loved wandering around, discovering new places, talking to strangers and recording my adventures. When I was in school I would often bunk off and end up exploring aimlessly- markets, museums, city streets and suburbs (sometimes I'd travel out further afield to places like Stonehenge and Brighton). I loved getting lost and I loved learning through my explorations. Over a decade on, my love for exploring is still as strong as ever, only now, I'm making a living (or attempting to) through it - through leading wandering tours and sharing special places and stories with others. I have a lot of them!'

Saira Niazi, Founder & Guide

This walk will last 2.5 hours including breaks and stop offs. Meeting point outside Crystal Palace Museum (Anerley Hill, London SE19 2BA) at 11am. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella, waterproof jacket and a bottle of water with you on the day.

Family ParkBathe stroll in Crystal Palace Park

Join us for the final ParkBathe in Crystal Palace Park Trust's Winter Wellbeing season. ParkBathe is a green health project providing nature connection as a means to improve the health and wellbeing of local people. ParkBathe uses aspect of forest bathing, forest school and mindfulness and is simply walking slowly in a local green space whilst noticing our surroundings (no water is involved!) however the Family sessions are adapted for both adults and children to attend.

* We recommend wearing warm layers, socks and waterproofs as we walk slowly. We DO go out in the rain ! Arrive 10 minutes before your slot to check in with your guide.

How it works:

This Family session is run in the secluded and rather magical 'Secret Garden' within Crystal Palace Park. It starts with a short introduction to what 'forest bathing' is. Then, adults are guided on their own 50 minute sensory stroll, while children engage in a creative nature workshop separately with their own facilitators. The two groups come back together for some fun nature activities at the end. Adults get to de-stress while children get creative!

Suitable for children aged 6-11yrs (when you register please tell us the names/ages of your children)

Carers must be 18+.

The adult sensory walk is not suitable for children as it involves walking slowly in silence.

The children's session is themed around 'nature's art'.

Meet at The Information Centre, Thicket Road, London, SE20 8DT.
