Our long-term regeneration plans for the Park

Crystal Palace Park Trust is supporting Bromley Council in their installation of a new Changing Places toilet, at the Penge end of the park close to the Thicket Road car park and the Information Centre.

Many people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as other disabilities that severely limit mobility, cannot use standard accessible toilets. Changing Places toilets provide extra equipment such as a changing bench and hoist, and additional space for users.

We’re delighted that this new unit will allow more of our valued park visitors to use our public convenience facilities safely and comfortably – as many of us take for granted.

The groundworks on the site began on 13th November, and the installation of the Changing Places unit is due to be completed towards the end of December.

Upon completion, the toilet will be cleaned and managed to a high standard as part of the Trust’s regular maintenance operations.
