After 18 months of conservation and improvement works, Crystal Palace Park is entering an exciting new chapter.

This summer marks the completion of the major regeneration works across the park, with only final finishing touches to the Italian Terraces and wider landscaping still to come.

To celebrate this milestone and make the most of the long summer days, we’re putting together a weekend of activities and entertainment to bring everyone together to enjoy the areas of the park that are now ready to explore.

Save the date! Saturday 18 – Sunday 19 July

The park will be buzzing with activity, from theatrical performances and live music, to discovery trails and creative workshops!

The new Visitor Centre – complete with a brand new shop – will also welcome its first visitors, and the Food Market will be open on both Saturday and Sunday.

Keep an eye on the website and make sure you’re following us on socials to keep up to date with details of special activities and events as they are announced over the next few weeks.

The park regeneration is nearly complete

The regeneration works have restored some of the park's most treasured historic landmarks, improved facilities for visitors, enhanced accessibility and created new opportunities for play, learning and community activity.

From the conservation of the world-famous Grade I listed Dinosaurs to the restoration of the historic Italian Terraces and Grand Centre Walk, the creation of a new Visitor Centre and Dinosaur Playground, and improvements to footpaths, lighting, wayfinding and accessible routes, these projects are helping ensure the park can be enjoyed by generations to come. Alongside this, extensive planting and sustainable drainage improvements are creating better habitats for wildlife and helping the park adapt to the future.

The Crystal Palace Park regeneration is delivered by Bromley Council and Crystal Palace Park Trust. Designs were developed by a team led by HTA Design and works were delivered by partner contractor Maylim.

This project has been made possible by major grants from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, as well as funding from the Garfield Weston Foundation, the Wolfson Foundation, London Marathon Foundation, and the Pilgrim Trust.
