Public access to the park

Event set-up at the Italian Terraces will begin on Tuesday 16 June 2026, with breakdown expected to be completed by Thursday 9 July 2026.

All areas outside the event perimeter will remain open as usual during build and break periods. During the concert dates, from 26 June to 4 July, park gates will remain open, with the exception of Canada Gate, Cintra Gate and South Terrace Gates.

On event days, access to Ledrington Road will be restricted. A detailed map showing available walking routes will be provided and displayed in the park ahead of the events.

Access to the Dinosaur Playground, Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, Brown & Green Café and the National Sports Centre will remain unchanged. Some routes through the park will be temporarily closed during the events, with clear signage directing visitors to alternative paths.

Road access during events

To help manage traffic and reduce parking pressure in the surrounding area, temporary road access restrictions will be in place on some streets near the park during event days.

These measures are being coordinated by Festival Republic in partnership with local authorities to support residents and local businesses. Affected roads will be managed by traffic marshals and will remain accessible for residents, their visitors and delivery drivers.

Further details on traffic management for the 2026 events will be shared on this page in the coming months

Sound checks

Sound checks will take place on each event day prior to opening. Additional checks may take place on Thursday 25 June and Thursday 2 July.

No sound checks will begin before 10:00. Levels will be lower than during live performances and testing will take place intermittently over one to two hours.

Good Neighbours

Festival Republic has arranged additional cleaning across the local area, both within the park and surrounding streets, including dedicated litter-picking teams.

Additional toilet facilities will be installed at key locations around the park and along main routes to transport hubs.

Please note that some resident road closures will be in place on major event days. A letter outlining local impacts has been delivered to nearby residents, and a digital version is available here.
