A new exhibition, ‘The ART OF Waiting’, presents the club’s journey to FA Cup glory.
2026 marks a landmark year for Crystal Palace Park as we move towards reopening after major regeneration works by Bromley Council and the Trust, ensuring this historic landscape can be enjoyed for generations to come.
To kick the year off with a bang, Crystal Palace Park Trust is thrilled to be partnering with Crystal Palace Football Club to bring ‘The ART OF Waiting’ to the Crystal Palace Subway. A new exhibition celebrating the club’s heritage and the journey to FA Cup glory in 2025.
Sport has always been woven into the history of Crystal Palace Park. The FA Cup Final was held here and the park continued to host the Final until 1914, often drawing crowds of more than 100,000; The ART OF Waiting exhibition reconnects with and builds on this sporting heritage.
From the club’s beginnings in Crystal Palace Park to the decades of hope that shaped its supporters, this exhibition brings the full story to life.
In football, victory is counted in trophies, but for Palace, belief has always meant more. For generations, fans carried the weight of waiting, not just for silverware, but for the moments that make this club what it is: the sound of Holmesdale, the loyalty, the pride of South London.
The exhibition runs from 9 to 11 January, and offers a rare chance to experience Crystal Palace Football Club’s history inside one of the most iconic spaces in South London.
