We have received notice from a Tree Survey that a large Ash tree on the west side of the Dinosaur Lake is unsafe and needs to be taken down. We have closed part of the footpath around the Dinosaur island in anticipation of this work.

We have subsequently discovered an active blue tit nest in the tree, which limits the work that can be done until the chicks have left the nest. As a result we will keep the path closed until we can confirm that the nest is no longer active, and the tree can be taken down.

We appreciate your patience while the path is closed. We are beholden to the blue tits' timeline, which takes precedent over our own!
